We worked hand-in-hand with these clients to design the perfect kitchen remodeling project for their wants and needs. After going through the initial design phase, we are ready to begin construction.
The kitchen remodeling project begins when we remove load-bearing walls and install new beams to support those walls instead. We will also be installing all new electrical throughout the kitchen, as well as environmentally friendly LEED recessed lighting and under-cabinet strip lighting.
To add some luxury, we are also installing a Wirsbo Radiant Floor Heating System. This is a type of in-floor heating system and will keep the tile floors nice and toasty for bare feet! Not only that, we also plan to install spray foam insulation in the walls to ensure the kitchen is as insulated and energy-efficient as possible.
The kitchen remodeling project will also feature new drywall that will replace the old plaster. The old plaster was starting to crack and show its age, so the new drywall will definitely improve the look of the kitchen.
Throughout the entire kitchen, we are installing Dura Supreme Maple cabinets with Cambria tops. We are also going to install new millwork and Marvin windows that will feature a cottage style grid pattern. We are going to put in a fiberglass exterior door that will be stained, trimmed and finished. Both the door and windows will help the home maintain its old-fashioned charm without sacrificing the energy-efficient benefits of having new windows and doors installed.
Finally, we are relocating the kitchen sink to a new peninsula area that will also feature a space to eat in as well as a work station for the homeowner, who needs a spot to work from home in. There will be USB outlets and other media connections installed there as well.
