With that being said, we would love to introduce you to one of our newest additions to our interior design team, Karie Zemlicka.

How did you get into interior design?
I knew I wanted a career that I could be creative and also help people make their lives better. Choosing to go to college for interior design was the perfect fit. From a young age, I loved working on projects with my grandmother, who was an artist/designer. She instilled in me that it is possible to create a home that is both pretty and functional.
What are your strengths as an interior designer?
“Smart Design” is a strength of mine. Not only do I have an interior design background but I also believe it is extremely important to understand the construction component of interior design to best guide clients through the design build process from initial concept/design, implementation to completion. I pride myself on being able to think outside of the box, and truly listen to my clients’ wants and needs that will best suit their lifestyle.
What does the client journey mean to you?
It means I have an exciting opportunity to help them live a better life day in and day out. It is always exciting to start a new project. I love the initial meeting, and getting to know the needs of a client and their family, and particularly how the new design of their space will improve the functionality of it as a whole. From the initial meeting to completion, I focus on understanding their project, getting the most out of their remodeling budget, and making sure they are satisfied every step of the way.

What is your favorite part of design?
My favorite part of what I do is getting to experience the joy that clients express when everything comes together. Not only seeing their beautifully remodeled space but also knowing it will significantly improve their daily life. Most clients say, “Why didn’t we do this sooner?”
