Plan in advance where you want these gadgets to go so there are no surprises and you don’t have to worry about needing a long extension cord to plug everything in. You will also want to make sure you understand what wiring needs to be pre-wired prior to sheetrock so there will be no need for wall repair later.
Access Points
Utilities like your water and electricity all have access points. This is where your water shut off valve and circuit breaker is located. You don’t want to plan to put a huge and heavy sofa right in front of your electrical panel, for example.
Building Materials

Be Flexible
Remember that local and state building codes and regulations trump everything else.
